About
About Dale
Although I am a Lutheran Pastor, I am open to all spiritual expressions or to persons with no specific spiritual orientation or identification. Sessions with me may include a spiritual component or be purely secular as determined by the client.
I have provided individual and group pastoral care and spiritual direction for over thirty years. During that time, I’ve benefitted from great therapy. I have mentored and coached many individuals through all that life can bring or take away. I am not a licensed counselor or therapist. I am not a certified coach or spiritual director. My formal credentials included an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Family Social Science from the University of Minnesota and Master of Divinity degree from Luther Seminary. My practical credentials come from my life experience.
My unique blend of experience, strength and hope as well as my natural and acquired gifts, along with my personality, merge with honesty, integrity and empathy to create a person apt at partnering with a wide variety of persons regardless of age, ethnicity, spirituality, sexual orientation or gender identity.
Personal Mission Statement
To relieve suffering and increase joy in all that I meet. I have been a Lutheran pastor for over 30 years (ELCA). I currently serve as the Director of Spiritual Care at Mount Olivet Home and Mount Olivet Careview Home in Minneapolis. Prior to seminary I did youth work and chemical dependency counseling. I went through treatment for alcoholism in 1979 and have enjoyed sobriety ever since.
